ABOUT FOSSIL RIDGE
The Keller School District set out to modernize the aging sound system at the Theater at Fossil Ridge High School. The 782-seat venue in the Dallas/Fort Worth area had long served as a hub for musicals, theatrical productions, acoustic performances, and community rental events. But declining audio quality and loudspeakers that obstructed audience sightlines were making it harder to deliver the immersive experience that students and audiences deserved.
The School District turned to ProFormance Systems to engineer a solution — one that could meet the acoustic demands of a busy performing arts venue without compromising the visual integrity of the space.
Less is More
ProFormance Systems approached the project with a clear philosophy: do more with less.
Rather than filling the room with an array of speakers and delay systems, the team identified Blaze Audio as the full systems provider for the loudspeakers and electronics, streamlining the entire system. The result is a system that disappears into the room. Audiences aren't looking at speaker enclosures; they're watching the performance.

Consistent Coverage, Every Seat
At the heart of the new system are three CCA10i constant curvature arrays, which deliver wide, even coverage throughout the room. Two BL118iSS super subwoofers extend the system's low-frequency response across the full seating area. Three PowerZone™ Connect Dante® DSP-enabled amplifiers bring it all together, providing efficient, network-ready signal processing.
Hefty noted that the loudspeakers deliver consistent coverage while maintaining clarity and consistency from front row to back and the amplifiers provide the headroom needed for efficient, reliable system operation night after night.
