When it comes to crafting an exceptional dining experience, David Pratt boasts a wealth of prestigious culinary experience. His impressive background includes positions at Studio at Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, Picasso Restaurant at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Masa's in San Francisco, and Olives in Washington, D.C. Currently, as the Executive Chef and Owner of Brick in San Clemente, California, David has realized his vision of culinary excellence. His approach focuses on delivering farm-to-table freshness in a relaxed, casual setting.
Brick offers a spacious L-shaped dining area with both high-top and regular tables. The area is complemented by a bar with stool seating and a corridor in front of the kitchen, leading to an outdoor covered deck with additional seating.
Innovative Sound Solution Using Sonance Technology
To achieve consistent sound levels and high-quality music in a challenging space characterized by a low vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, reflective brick walls, varied listener levels, and an outdoor patio, Low Volt Automation Technologies (LVAT) in Oceanside, California, was awarded the project. They chose Sonance’s Professional Series range of Commercial Loudspeakers and DSP Amplifiers to meet the project’s needs.

AUDIO SOLUTION: Sonance Professional Series
The installation at Brick includes 4” Pendant Speakers in the main dining area and corridor, complemented by 8” Surface Mount Woofers along the walls to enhance bass performance. In the bar area, 8” Surface Mount Speakers create a distinct sound stage, while on the patio, 6” Surface Mount Speakers alongside 8” Surface Mount Woofers provide robust audio coverage. The uniform voicing of the Sonance Professional Series ensures a seamless auditory experience as guests move through different areas.
